Dear Parents and Carers,
As we approach the end of the Autumn Term, I wanted to inform you of a number of events and enrichment activities that will be taking place over the next three weeks. I would firstly like to thank you for your excellent support in helping the school address some of its improvement priorities, including the importance of attendance. As you are aware, there is a direct correlation between levels of pupil attendance and academic success, including outcomes at GCSE. I am delighted to report that pupil attendance is higher than it has been for some time.
However, It is essential that we continue to strive to achieve our whole school target of 96%. Full attendance over the remaining three weeks of school will help the school achieve its goal.
I would like to pass on my very best wishes to all year 11 pupils who have made an excellent start to their mock GCSE examinations this week and wish our sixth form pupils well as they continue to prepare for exams after the Christmas break.
