Family Engagement Courses

PARENT POWERED LEARNING BANNER

Ysgol Greenhill holds regular parent/carer events throughout the year such as Open Evenings, Parent Evenings, Options Evening, Evening of the Arts, Study Skills and Awards events.

We encourage our parents and carers to attend these events to join us in helping your children and young people achieve the very best they can.

As well as whole school events, there are a number of parent/carer engagement workshops and courses running throughout the academic year.

Courses range from literacy and numeracy workshops, parental skills and well-being courses.

The 2025/26 program of events is:

8th October to 12th November
Family Support Team Take 3 - Teenage Support Course
Every Wednesday 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

The Take 3 group is a two-hour, 5 week parenting course for parents/carers of young people aged between 10-18 years of age. Take 3 sessions have two main aims: to help improve relationships between the young people/their families and to help improve the young people's behaviour at home, at school and in their wider community. This course provides information on ways to try new ways of caring for your children and focuses initially on the importance of self-care; helping you to live well and improve your wellbeing.

"Absolutely amazing course! Leaders were empathetic and understanding and gave lots of practical advice. Well worth attending - it has really helped us understand our teenage son."

"I found the course reassuring and therapeutic. It is nice to know that we are not on our own and this is normal!"
