Ysgol Greenhill holds regular parent/carer events throughout the year such as Open Evenings, Parent Evenings, Options Evening, Evening of the Arts, Study Skills and Awards events.

We encourage our parents and carers to attend these events to join us in helping your children and young people achieve the very best they can.

As well as whole school events, there are a number of parent/carer engagement workshops and courses running throughout the academic year.

Courses range from literacy and numeracy workshops, parental skills and well-being courses.

The 2024/25 program of events is:

EBSA Parent/Carer support course

Support for parents/carers of pupils struggling to attend school or lessons on a regular basis. Delivered by Lisa Morgan-Thomas EBSA Advisor from the Education Welfare Service and members of the Family Support Team.

Axiom Maths Parent/Carer Support Course

Support course for parents/carers of pupils taking part in the Axiom Maths challenge.

Christmas Craft Workshop

Thursday 12th December 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

Christmas Clay Robins

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at some clay modelling?

Then come along to this Christmas workshop and learn how to make your very own Christmas Robin.

Discover the simple techniques needed to build and shape a clay robin and have a go at creating yourself your very own version to proudly display at home or give as a handmade gift this Christmas.

Jemma from Open Skies Studio will provide you with all the materials needed and give you step by step guidance throughout.

No prior experience is necessary for the workshop, just the ability to have fun and get creative!

Come along and enjoy getting into the Christmas 'creative' spirit!

 

 

January 2025

ADHD/ASD parenting course with Pembrokeshire Family Support Team

31st January 2025 for 8 weeks

1:00 - 3:00 pm 

A course for parents/carers who want to develop an understanding of ADHD/ASD. The programme will provide lots of advice on promoting your child’s wellbeing and tips on supporting your child’s development. Autistic/ADHD children have a range of strengths and difficulties. By working with strengths and supporting difficulties, you can help your child to reach their potential.
